Baseball Protocol/Safety Measures
The Common Five
• Hand Washing - We recommend you wash your hands often, and when soap and water is not available, our managers and coaches have sanitizer available.
• Social Distancing - Please maintain at least 6 feet between you and others.
• Face Coverings - We recommend all guests wear masks or face coverings while outside the field of play.
• Cleaning and Disinfecting – Please be patient as our team performs more frequent cleaning. Help do your part by keeping your area clean and disposing of trash.
• Health Monitoring - Daily self-evaluated wellness screenings need to be completed by all guests prior to entering any facility. Guests experiencing COVID-19 symptoms should not enter the facility.
Pre-Game
• Please do not share equipment. If equipment (such as catchers gear) is shared, a coach must properly disinfect equipment prior to the next participants use.
• Home plate meetings will be limited to the umpire and one coach from each team; all must practice social distancing
• Do not enter field area until previous team has full vacated
• Teams will not be permitted in the facility without a coach.
• Teams must wait until dugouts are vacated and cleaned before entering.
During the Game
• Dugouts will be expanded, and we ask for your cooperation in practicing social distancing as follows:
3 players in dugout / 1 player & coach on deck area/
1 coach in field opening / remaining players & coaches in bleachers
• Hand sanitizer will be available in the dugouts and is intended to be used upon entering and exiting the dugout, including between innings.
• No spitting, sunflower seeds, peanuts in the shell, or gum.
• Homerun balls will not be returned to gameplay
• Foul balls returned to game and sanitized
• High-fiving and handshaking is prohibited (no contact please)
• Participants (including umpires) inside the field of play are not required to wear a face covering but may be worn as desired.
• Balls will be sanitized in between innings by coaching staff.
Post –Game
• In lieu of handshaking lines, each team will line up on their respective foul line, tip their caps to the opposing team and then to face their fans.
• Team post-game meetings eliminated
Spectators & Fans
• No spectators between 1st & 3rd base. (All spectators must view games from outfield or sidelines.)
• Please wear mask when social distancing cannot be followed at game and i.e. bathroom/concession
• No Bleachers – please bring your own seating.
• Sanitizing stations available throughout facility.
• Daily self-evaluated wellness screenings should be completed prior to entering facility. Guests experiencing COVID -19 symptoms should not enter the facility.
• It is recommended that no more than 2 spectators per player should attend games.
